Richard Veasey Obituary

Richard Baldwin Veasey, Jr., age 69, of Murrells Inlet, SC passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 5, 2025. He was born April 27, 1956, in Aiken, SC to the late Richard Baldwin Veasey, Sr. and Dorothy Ham Veasey. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Alan Veasey. Ricky spent his childhood in Aiken, SC and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in psychology. Throughout his life, Ricky was an avid fan of the Gamecocks and an enthusiastic golfer. Ricky's career in retail management allowed him to successfully oversee the daily operations of convenience stores along the Grand Strand. Ricky is survived by Bernard "Bubba" Meng of Murrells Inlet, SC and many loving friends. A celebration of Ricky's life is being organized and will be conducted with family and friends at a future date. Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
