Richard Gurry Obituary

Richard Brouthers Gurry, 86, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Pruitt Health. Born April 21, 1939 in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Robert B. and Doris E. Gurry.

He was also predeceased by his sister, Susan Gurry.

Richard served his country in the US Army, which included two years in France. He was a University of Connecticut Women's Basketball Team fanatic. Along with being outdoors, enjoying wildlife and flowers. he also enjoyed music and photography.

Mr. Gurry is survived by his children, Mark Gurry (Stephanie), Todd Gurry (Melissa) and Scott Gurry; brother, Steve Gurry (Susan); grandchildren, Colin (Piper), Kevin, Ryan and Ethan, along with many other family and friends who will miss him.
