Patricia Occhipinti Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Ellen Occhipinti, a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished sister, and treasured friend, who left this world on July 22, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on June 30, 1964, in Yonkers, New York, Patricia was the daughter of Frank Robert Alleva and Mary Theresa Alleva. From a young age, Patricia had a vibrant spirit and a deep love for family, which would go on to define the way she lived her life. Patricia spent her career in the hotel and travel industry, a path that beautifully combined her passion for connecting with people and her love of seeing the world. She created lasting friendships and second families everywhere she went. She shared her life and heart with her loving husband, John J. Occhipinti, and was the proud and adoring mother of three daughters: Alexis, Jacqueline, and Olivia. Her girls were her entire world, and her devotion to them was evident in every aspect of her life. Patricia had a heart that made space for everyone. Her home was a haven-filled with the warmth of holiday traditions, the aroma of her delicious home-cooked meals, and the sound of laughter around the table. She welcomed everyone with open arms, a radiant smile, and always a plate of food. Cooking was her love language, and feeding others brought her joy. Her favorite place on earth was the island of St. Maarten, her second home. Her kindness was abundant, her love endless, and her presence unforgettable. Patricia's illness came suddenly, but she faced it with unimaginable strength and grace. Surrounded by the unwavering love of John, Alexis, Jacqueline, Olivia, Cathy and Jimmy- Trisha fought with the same selfless determination that defined her entire life. She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and compassion that will live on through all who were lucky enough to know her. She will be forever missed. And forever loved. A visitation will be held Thursday, July 31 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at McMillan-Small Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 1 at 2:00 pm at St. Andrews Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Southern Palms Memorial Gardens. I am so saddened by Trish’s passing and send my heartfelt sympathies to John and the girls. My husband Mike and I met Trish and John and the girls in St Maarten many years ago, when the girls were just toddlers. Trish was such a bright light, spreading love and joy wherever she went. We always enjoyed reconnecting with them in St Maarten. We were together in St Maarten in 2017 during Hurricane Irma, and even through that, Trish’s light shone brightly. We will miss seeing Trish in St Maarten, and will keep John and the girls in our hearts and prayers.
