Olene McNair Obituary

Conway....Olene Causey McNair, 83, of Conway, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025. Olene was the daughter of the late Robert F. Causey, Sr. and Maybelle S. Causey. She was born and raised in Conway, South Carolina, graduated from Conway High School, and earned her associate's degree from Coastal Carolina University. She was employed as the office manager for Bellamy Engineering for over 35 years. In addition to her parents, Olene was predeceased by her siblings Velma Jacobs; Marguerite Benton; Ruby Fowler; Verona Jordan; Robert F. Causey, Jr., and Milford Causey. She was also predeceased by her brother-in-law, James McNair and her nephew, Harold D. Branton, Jr. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Conway and an avid golfer. Surviving are her devoted husband of 62 years, Robert J. McNair; her daughter, Sharyn Albini and husband, Mark; her daughter, Sheila Robinson and husband, Jonathan. Also surviving are her grandson, Jack Robinson; her brother, Jesse Causey; her sister-in-law, Norma Branton and husband, Harold; her sister-in-law, Brenda Cox and husband, Randall; and many nieces, nephews and their children. A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Rocky Taylor, will be held at First Baptist Church, Conway on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be private at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Olene's memory to The Alzheimer's Association.
