Nancy Marotta Obituary

In Loving Memory of Nancy Jane Marotta who passed away on September 29, 2025, at her home in South Carolina. Nancy was born on February15,1940, in Brooklyn, New York and spent most of her adult life on Long Island, New York, as the beloved wife of Joseph Marotta who predeceased her in August of 2019. Nancy is predeceased by her parents, Nancy and Salvatore Martingano; her younger brother, James Martingano; her sister, Theresa Giannone, and brother-in-law, Joseph Giannone; her nephew, Joseph C. Giannone; and her niece, Nancy Ann Costa. Nancy and Joseph were married on September 25, 1961. She was committed to supporting her husband Joseph and contributed to his accomplishments. Nancy is survived by her three children and their spouses/ partners: Lynda Carfora-LoGuidice and Gary LoGuidice; Joseph D. Marotta and Maria Dutilly; James M. Marotta and Nancy Marotta. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: Lauren N. Karlya (Carfora); Joseph S. Marotta; Christina M. McCurdy (Marotta); Amanda R. Leh (Marotta); Christopher Marotta; Nicholas Marotta; Anthony Marotta; Anthony S. LoGuidice and Meaghan Marotta; and her first great grandchild Adriana Lynn Karlya. To Nancy, her grandchildren and great-grandchild were treasured gifts, and they filled her life with immeasurable joy and pride. In addition, Nancy is survived by her brother and sister-and-law Andrew & Dianne Martingano; her sister-and-law Rosemary Marotta, and her many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Goldfinch Funeral Home, 11528 Hwy. 17 Bypass, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 on Friday, October 3 from 3: 00 PM – 5:00 PM. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael Catholic Church, 542 Cypress Avenue, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 on Saturday, October 4, at 9:30 AM. Nancy will be Interred at Holy Rood, 111 Old Country Road, Westbury, New York, 11590 next to her beloved husband Joseph Marotta.
