Nancy Leedy Obituary

Nancy Jo Leedy, age 76 of Murrells Inlet, passed away at her residence on Monday, June 23,2025 following a courageous battle with liver disease. Born in Warsaw, IN, she was a daughter of the late James W. Lackey and Mary Ann Huffman Lackey. She and her husband, Jerry moved to the Murrells Inlet area following their retirements over 24 years ago. Known to all as a woman who could not stand heat and carried a fan with her at all times while "freezing" everyone out with the air conditioning turned down. She none the less endeared herself to all with her old school values such as always being immaculately dressed and was a very well put together lady. She loved to bake and was known as "Little Betty Crooker", her pies were amazing!. She was a giving lady who loved to brighten a friends day with company and one of her pies. She and Jerry were also members of the Myrtle Beach Car Club. Surviving Nancy is her husband of 57 years, Jerry and her daughter, Amy Renee Leedy of Albion, IN. In addition, 1 brother Jim Lackey and his wife Karen of Columbia City, IN, 1 sister, Marilyn McSherry of Burket, IN survive. Predeceasing, in addition to her parents are: 1 brother, Dick Lackey and a sister, Sandy Craddock. A Celebration of Nancy's life will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 11, 2025 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.
