Mary Seese Obituary
Mary(Cunningham) Seese, affectionately known as Mickie, died peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Conway Medical Center in South Carolina surrounded by her loving family.
Mickie is survived by her son Charles III(Tracey) of Snydersville, PA, her daughter Michelle of Johnsonburg, PA, her son Kevin of Ambler, PA and her son Christopher(Julie Ann) of Murrells Inlet, SC; five grandchildren including Charles IV(Kathleen) of West Chester, PA, Hannah(Austin Guelich) of Snydersville, PA, Christopher Jr of Columbia, SC, Gabrielle of Columbia, SC and John Henry of Johnsonburg, PA; and two great grandchildren Ava and Charles V(Chip).
Mickie was known for her gentle spirit, unwavering love for her family, and quiet strength. Her life reflected grace, generosity, and joy-and her memory will be deeply cherished by all who knew her.
In 1962, Mickie married the love of her life, Charles "Bud" Seese Jr. Together, they shared nearly 50 wonderful years before Bud's passing in 2011. Their marriage was a true testament to a life of devotion, partnership, and love.
In 2000, Mickie and Bud retired to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where they embraced the next chapter of their lives with joy, faith, and community. A gifted pianist, Mickie shared her talents for decades, performing at senior living communities in both Pennsylvania and South Carolina. Her music brought comfort, joy, and a sense of peace to all who heard it, reflecting her compassionate and giving nature.
Mickie also had a zest for life that extended beyond music. She loved to travel, exploring new places with curiosity and delight. She was a proud and active member of the Red Hat Society in the Myrtle Beach area, where she formed lasting friendships. She was also a devoted and active member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Garden City, SC where her faith was a guiding presence in her life.
Mickie's funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 16th at 2:00PM at Saint Michael's Catholic Church, 542 Cypress Ave, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
