Mary Cooke Obituary

Mary Ann Cooke passed away July 15, 2025 after a long illness. Born September 13, 1946 in Concord, NC, she was the daughter of the late Marvin A. & Patricia O. Simpson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny R. Cooke of Murrells Inlet, SC. She is survived by her sons, Richard G. Grogan Jr. (Kendall) and Thomas E. Grogan; 4 grandchildren: John Grogan, Abby Grogan, Becky Grogan and Alex King (Jessica) and 3 great-grandchildren: Jayden King, Alijah King and Avenir King. She loved the Lord and her family. She also loved to knit and do other crafts. She retired as a Social Worker from a local nursing home. She spent her final months at the same nursing home where she worked for many years caring for residents. Visitation will be held at 1:00pm Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Goldfinch Funeral Home in Murrells Inlet, SC, followed by service at 2:00pm with Interment following at Hillcrest Cemetery.
