Malcolm Holt Obituary

Myrtle Beach… Mr. Malcolm Donald "Mike" Holt, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 surrounded by his family. Born January 17, 1950 in Conway, he was the son of the late Melvin Oswald and Mary Pearl Porter Holt. Mike retired as the Director of Operations and Maintenance from Burroughs and Chapin after 45 years of service. Mike was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was a very simple man who loved his family dearly. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed. Along with his parents, Mike was predeceased by a brother, Tommy Holt and a sister, Ann Allen. Surviving are his wife, Jean Hitchcock Holt of Myrtle Beach; three children, Asheley Turbeville of Conway, Jolly Holt Browne (Toray) of Myrtle Beach, and Melvin Holt (Megan) of Conway; seven grandchildren, Cole and Caroline Turbeville, Aaron and Nyla Holt, and Hunter, Bryson, and Kendyl Holt; and two sisters, Bobbie Jo Brown of Conway and Mary Moody of Mullins. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Scott Johnson and Pastor Matt Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, at the funeral home.
