Lillian Stone Obituary

Conway, SC Mrs. Lillian Mae Church Walker Stone, 84,widow of the late Truman R. Walker, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025 at her home. Born December 29, 1940 in Brenton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Burton Church and the late Flora Wiles Church. Lillian worked as a school bus attendant in the public school system and loved working with the children. She also enjoyed gardening and crafting. In addition to her parents and first husband Lillian was also predeceased by her brother, Roger Church and her grandson, Michael "Mikey" Walker. Tragically, her son, Daniel Wayne Walker, died just hours before her from an extended illness. Survivors include her children, Teresa Guillen, Steven Walker and wife Mary, Cathy Walker, Sheila Harrah and husband Jesse, James Walker, Thomas Walker and wife Tammy, and Jeffrey Walker; over 30 cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brothers, Roscoe Church and Donald Church; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family. The family will receive friends Friday, September 19, 2025 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. She will be laid to rest in Beckley, WV. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
