LeRoy LeMaster Obituary
LeRoy LeMaster, age 79, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on September 18, 2025, surrounded by his three loving daughters.
LeRoy was born on January 18, 1946, in Union, South Carolina, to the late Roy Lee LeMaster and the late Lillie Mae Sinclair LeMaster. He grew up in Union, where he was a member of Westside Baptist Church and a graduate of Union High School.
He is survived by his three daughters: Leigh Ann LeMaster Yoxtheimer (William Gregory Poston), Amy LeMaster Boozer (Timothy Edwin Boozer, Jr.), and Amanda LeMaster Anthony (Tyler Lee Anthony); his six grandchildren: Jennifer Boozer Lathrop (Kendall Scott Lathrop), Jessica Boozer Bedenbaugh (Corey Todd Bedenbaugh), Mattie Rose Boozer, Emily Kathryn Yoxtheimer, Austin Tyler Anthony, and Ava Langley Anthony; his two great-grandchildren: Jackson Scott Lathrop and Carter James Lathrop; his sister, Rosa McDade Estes; and his brother, Harold Eugene LeMaster (wife, Patti).
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Dianne Chalk LeMaster, and his sisters, Joyce LeMaster Pierce, and Nancy LeMaster Hyder.
In 1966, he worked in the parts department at Roper Chevrolet in Union, SC, served in the United States National Guard at Fort Jackson in Columbia, SC, and married his high school sweetheart, Dianne Chalk.
In the early 1970s, he managed the Goodyear Store and owned his own Texaco Gas Station in Newberry, SC.
LeRoy's passion for trucking began in 1976 at Senn Trucking Company in Silverstreet, SC, owned by two amazing brothers. He started as a dispatcher and later became the top East Coast salesman, recognized for his troubleshooting skills from the Chesapeake Bay to the Jacksonville, FL, area.
In the early 1980s, he purchased his first flatbed trailer and established AAA Transportation Services, Inc., named after his daughters Ann, Amy, and Amanda.
In 1989, LeRoy moved his family to Myrtle Beach to continue his trucking career, becoming President of Lewis Truck Lines in Conway, SC. He proudly purchased the company in 2005. From the mid-1990s through 2023, he served on the Board of Governors for Transport Clearing East, Inc. in Charlotte, NC, and held the position of Chairman of the Board in the early 2000s. In addition, he was an active and dedicated member of the South Carolina Trucking Association, where he served in many leadership roles over the years.
In 2010, he purchased Reaves Enterprises-now Reaves Inc.-and later acquired two additional companies. He also established LeMaster Leasing, LLC, a truck finance company, and LeMaster Site Work, LLC, specializing in site work and hauling. Despite being a die-hard USC Gamecock fan, one of his favorite contributions was supporting the Coastal Carolina University Athletic Foundation in honor of his wife and family.
In his later years, LeRoy discovered a true passion for real estate. He enjoyed researching properties, studying land values, and applying the same sharp instincts and strategic mindset that had defined his trucking career. Real estate became both a business interest and a personal joy, reflecting his lifelong drive to build and create opportunities for his family.
During his 50 years in the trucking industry, his old-fashioned grit and charm, combined with sharp business instincts, made him the smart businessman he truly was.
A quote he lived by was:
"You can design and create and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality."
-Walt Disney
LeRoy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and beloved friend to many. He will be remembered for his generosity towards others and his dedication to his truck drivers and employees. His greatest joy in life was providing for his wife in every possible way. He lovingly referred to her as his Sunshine, a name that reflected how she brightened his world.
LeRoy was a man of many qualities - a natural-born leader with a mind of steel, yet deeply compassionate and always ready to mentor those around him. He was both calculated and strategic in his decisions, but never without warmth and humor, often known as a jokester who could light up a room. Strong-willed and determined, he lived life on his own terms, but also loved deeply, especially when it came to spoiling his three daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Guided by his faith and grounded in strong values, he lived as an example of integrity and selflessness. Together with his beloved wife, Dianne, he instilled these lessons in his family, leaving them a legacy of strength and integrity. Whether offering wisdom, standing firm in what he believed, or dancing the night away with joy, LeRoy's presence left a lasting mark on everyone blessed to know him.
