Larry Stone Obituary

Larry Stone, age 78, died on Monday, October 20, 2025 at his residence. Born in Greensboro, NC, Larry is a son of the late Herman and Doris Stone. Larry retired from Kraft Foods after 25 years of service He was a faithful member of Surfside Christian Church where he served in many roles over the years as an Elder, Sunday School teacher, sound technician, and caring steward of the church's maintenance needs. Larry was a loving and kind man and always had a soft spot for children and animals. He is preceded in death by his sister Marcia Brooks. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Ellen Stone; daughter, Denise Ryan (Jeremy); grandchildren, Gregory Ryan, Gillian Ryan, Gennen Ryan, Grace Ryan, Garrett Ryan; siblings, George Stone (Ernestine). David Stone, Lisa Stone, Susan Merrill; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Surfside Christian Church. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Surfside Christian Church at 340 N Azalea Drive, Surfside Beach, SC 29575.
