John Woodall Obituary
John William Woodall, Jr., age 58, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 13th, 2025 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born on March 15th, 1967 in Annapolis, Maryland to Terry Widmaier and John Woodall, Sr.
The majority of his life was spent in Maryland where he graduated from Fort Meade Senior High School. He enjoyed his time employed at BWI Airport where he was able to help countless people in his role as a maintenance professional. John was married and raised two children in Maryland.
Wanting a fresh start for himself and his family, John moved with his wife and son to Myrtle Beach, SC in 2009 and discovered a new passion for work at One Hour Heating and Air where he worked for 16 years. His role as an HVAC Maintenance Technician allowed John to use his genuine kindness, reliability, integrity and professionalism to win over the hearts of his coworkers and customers alike. During his employment at One Hour, John was incredibly honored to win the Melvin Award, a prestigious company award that is only given to someone with an outstanding positive attitude and one who demonstrates both selflessness and helpfulness towards their coworkers and clients.
John had an adoration for nature and a passion for watching professional football and mixed martial arts. He looked forward to Saturday date nights with his wife Julie and watching Sunday football games with his son Daniel. He had cherished memories of tailgating Baltimore Ravens games with his father Earl and sister Beth. Growing up on a farm in Maryland with his mother Terry, John grew to appreciate his moments of solitude in nature and shared his love of it with the rest of his family through camping and fishing trips. John showed his daughter Amanda and son Daniel the importance of respecting others and nature but also the importance of having fun with harmless pranks and endless joking around. He loved playing video games with his kids and board games with his family. He also enjoyed jamming to his favorite rock and metal bands and attended many concerts with his wife in his younger years. John had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and spoke frequently about his relationship with his Savior. John's faith was important to him and he relied on it to help him get through challenging tribulations in his life.
John was a beloved husband, father, brother, cousin and friend. He was known for his quick-wit sense of humor and kindness towards others. He will always be remembered for his generosity and for his unconditional love towards family, friends and individuals that he just met. He was dependable, loving and kind and was an all around amazing person.
His memory will live on through his beloved wife Julie, his daughter Amanda, his son Daniel, his sister Beth, his mother Terry, his step father Earl, his father John Sr., his daughter in law Kristin, his son in law Jon, his grand-children Hannah and Hailey and numerous relatives who will miss him dearly and remember him fondly.
