John Steppling Obituary

John Steppling, age 66, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at his residence. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, John is a son of the late John and Elizabeth Steppling.John answered the call to serve his country and spent six years in the United States Army.Though his time in the military left him a disabled veteran, he was proud of his time in the military. Despite the challenges he faced, he found great comfort in community, and even greater joy in the sport he loved, bowling. Survivors include his siblings, James Steppling (Nancy), Catherine Dixon (Bill), Robert Steppling (Diana), Mary Steppling, Rose DeRoia; five nephews; and two nieces. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at St. Michael's Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is serving the family.

My condolences to the John Steppling extended family during this untimely event. I was a friend of John`s for about 15 years as a co-Steeler fan. I will miss him in dearly.
