John Neff Obituary

John Robert Neff, age 39, passed away, on July 21, 2025 in Florence, SC. Born May 6, 1986, in Cortland, NY, to Mark Neff and Marie Wood. John loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed building cars, driving, racing, playing pool, and bowling. He wrote poetry and lyrics. John was a carpenter, roofer, painter, and mason. John was preceded by his grandfathers, William Wood; David Meldrum, an uncle; Scott Neff, his grandmother, Jean Peek; and one nephew, Aidan Kirkland. John is survived by his Grandfather, Arthur (Lynn) Neff; Grandmother, MaryAnn Meldrum; Father, Mark (Lisa) Neff of Dryden, NY; Mother, Marie Shepard of Liberty, SC; one brother, David (Keri) Neff; two sisters, Satesha Kirkland, and Christine (Perry) Nix. Four nephews, Amiri Kirkland, Gryffin Nix, Gordyn Nix, and Noah Neff. Three nieces, Alyssea Cobb, Ryleigh Nix, and Naomi Neff. As well as many Uncles, Aunts, and cousins. Memorial Services will be held 12 Noon Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 109 Bone Plain Road, Freeville, NY. 13068.
