John Lemon Obituary

Conway John Scott "Johnny" Lemon, age 72, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025. Mr. Lemon was born in Cambridge, England a son of the late Norman E. and Joan Munro Lemon. He graduated from Myrtle Beach High School in 1971 and then spent a year surfing in Hawaii. Mr. Lemon loved sharing stories with family and friends about all his experiences on this trip. Along with his brother Michael, he owned a motorcycle shop in Myrtle Beach called Cycle Engineering. He also worked as a diesel mechanic with Altman Tractor Company for many years. Mr. Lemon enjoyed single malt Scotch and spending time with his family and friends. He also loved horses and his beloved dog, Duncan. He was a graduate of Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, NC and attended South Strand Assembly of God. Mr. Lemon was most proud to be second generation Scottish. He was a member of Clan Munro USA and hosted the Clan Tent for the Charleston Highland Games for many years, sharing history and heritage. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Lemon of Conway; one daughter, Jeannie Carver (Joseph) of Conway; three grandchildren, Joshua Aaron Carver of Greenville, Joseph "Hunter" Carver (Leah) of Conway, and Savannah Ruth Carver of Conway; two great grandchildren, Wiatt Sullivan Carver and Eilah Elizabeth Carver both of Conway, and one baby great granddaughter on the way; one sister, Norma Collins (John) of Myrtle Beach; one brother, Michael Lemon (Sharon) of Ormond Beach, FL; two nieces, Laura Longo and Mandy Lemon; and one nephew, Christopher Lemon. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 19, 2025 at South Strand Assembly of God in Murrells Inlet with Pastor Robert Hayes officiating.
