John Flowers Obituary

John Charles Flowers, 67, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at his residence. Born August 18, 1958 in Dorchester County, a son of the late Charles Monroe and Hilda Flowers. John was a loving brother and friend to everyone he met. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed watching all sports and when not watching sports, he loved to work with his flowers. John loved his family and extended family very much and loved giving everybody hugs. Mr. Flowers is survived by his sister, Belinda Carawan; long time caregiver, Mary M. Strickland; David and Tammy Finch who were like a brother and sister; several nieces and nephews; his canine fur babies, Gloria and Gracie, along with many other family and friends who will miss him. A Graveside Service will be held 12 noon, Monday, September 15, 2025 at Live Oak Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3093 Ashley Rivers Road, Charleston, SC 29419.
