John Causey Obituary

John Lindsey Causey Conway, SC John Lindsey Causey, 81, of Conway, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, July 11, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family. Lindsey was born in Conway, SC, a son of the late A. Theo and Verna Cooper Causey. He was a lifelong member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, where he faithfully served in various capacities over the years. He was also a founding and dedicated member of Darling Lake Hunting Club. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Ray Causey and Joe Causey. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Phyllis Bradham Causey; daughters, Lindy (Steve) Thompson and Stephanie Causey; four grandchildren, Justin, Will, Ben, and Lindsey; sister, Anne Beverly; sister-in-law, Barbara Jean Bradham; special nephew, Mark Beverly; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2025 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the church's fellowship hall. Memorials can be made to the Cedar Grove Baptist Church Youth Group or Cemetery Fund.
