Jimmy Phillip Dew (Jim), 70, of Conway, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. The angels ushered him into Heaven while his daughter, Lindsay, sang his favorite hymns to him. Born on February 8, 1955, in Conway, Jim was the beloved son of Radd Dew and Betty Jane Hamilton Dew. He grew up rooted in faith, family, and the values of hard work and kindness that shaped the man he became. Jim was a devoted husband to Dee Dee Dew, with whom he shared a life full of laughter, love, and unwavering partnership. Together, they raised two daughters, Lindsay Dew Tompkins (Stephen) and Kayla Dew Fleming (Lonnie), who were the pride and joy of his life. He was also a proud grandfather to Ellie Jane King, his Gulfriend, whose presence brought him endless joy. Jim continued his father's legacy at Radd Dew's Bar-B-Que, a cornerstone of the Conway community. He especially loved feeding people and bringing them joy through his food-a gift he shared generously and with great pride. Today, his daughter Lindsay and son-in-law Stephen continue to operate the restaurant, carrying forward the tradition of hospitality and heart that Jim embodied. Jim's life was a testament to quiet strength and enduring faith. Whether he was offering a helping hand, sharing a story, or simply being present, he brought warmth and light to every room. He was a man who found joy in the simple things-family gatherings, meaningful conversations, and the beauty of everyday life. He will be remembered not only for his love of family, but for the way he lived: with grace, humility, and a deep sense of purpose. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit remains a guiding light. Along with his parents, Jim was predeceased by a five year old niece, Megan Ammons. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Dee Dee Dew; two daughters, Lindsay Lucille Dew Tompkins (Stephen) and Kayla Dew Fleming (Lonnie); a granddaughter, Ellie Jane King; two sisters, Carolyn Dew Ammons (Tony) and Hazel Dew; and a special nephew, Charles Ammons and wife, Kendra, and their daughter, Paige. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Jamestown Baptist Church, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and the faith that sustained him. Officiating will be Rev. Wayne Skipper and Rev. Jamey Collins. Burial will follow at Radd Dew Home Place Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1314 3rd Avenue, Conway, SC 29526 in honor of Jim's compassionate heart and lifelong commitment to helping others or
