Janice Torpey Obituary

Janice Arlene Wood Torpey passed in the loving arms of her husband "Torpey" in the evening of June 7, 2025, after succumbing to injuries from a fall attributed to a hereditary disease, Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Type 1. Janice is pre deceased by her grandfather Robert "Pop" Wood, Sr.; her parents, Mildred and Robert "Bud" Wood, Jr.; and her sister Roberta Ann Wood. She is survived by her loving husband, Vincent J. Torpey, Jr.; her brother and sister in law, James E. and Mary Wood; nephews Christopher (Hope Rossell-Wood) their daughter, Naomi; Kevin, Sr. (Melinda Marie Wood) and their sons Kevin, Jr. and Logan; her Godson Michael Girton (Crystal and Aubrey), dear friend, Kevin B. Sessions; her beautiful boxers, Daisy and Gabbi, and cats KitterKat and Peewee- all rescues. As well as her many friends far and wide who will miss her. No formal services are currently planned. Memorial donations may be made to Horry County Animal Care Center 1923 Industrial Park Rd, Conway, SC 29526.
