James Martin Obituary

James A. Martin, 76, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Conway Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born January 17, 1949 in Horry County a son of the late Theodus Mayberry Martin and Elsie Mae Jordan, he was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters. James was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and loved snacks. He had the best sense of humor and loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Sonya Kaye Martin of 34 years; daughter, Julie Ann Martin Clark (Kevin); brother Benny Ray Martin (Deborah); two grandchildren, Owen James Clark and Myles Lee Clark along with many family and friends who will miss him. A Celebration of Life will be held 3pm, Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Watson Funeral Service Chapel. Please sign a guestbook at watsonfuneralservices.com.
