Holmes Springs Obituary

Holmes B. "Buddy" Springs, III, 72, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, October 2, 2025 at his residence. Buddy was born in Louisville, KY, a son of the late Dr. Holmes B. and Shirley Wurst Springs He was a faithful member of Socastee Family Worship Center and had been Employed with C.L. Benton & Sons Construction for many years. He was an avid fisherman. He was a veteran where he proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Elizabeth Springs; daughter, Jessica Springs; two brothers, John Springs and his wife, Ann Reed, and Julian Springs and his wife, Judy; two sisters, Shirley Kratz and her husband John, and Nancy Springs, and by a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to COPD Foundation, www.copdfoundation.org or to Socastee Family Worship Center, 3911 Socastee Blvd., Myrtle Beach, SC 29588. A memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday October 11, 2025 at Socastee Family Worship Center, 3911 Socastee Blvd., Myrtle Beach, SC 29588.
