Harry (Hank) Joseph Pavluk II, 63, formally of Ocean City New Jersey, passed away in Murrells Inlet, SC, on Friday October 10th from a short but courageous battle with brain cancer.
He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Harry Joseph Pavluk Sr.; Marie Alice (MacNeille) Pavluk.
He is survived by his loving Spouse, Suzanne (Birch) Pavluk, Murrells Inlet SC; Sons, Timothy Pavluk, Feasterville-Trevose, PA; Dakota Pavluk, Murrells Inlet, SC; Daughter-in-law, Meagan Pavluk; Grandsons, Declan Pavluk; Wesley Pavluk; Aunt and Uncle, Dorothy and Daniel Pandoli; Cousins, Diane Screnci and Daniel Panoli Jr. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Harry Pavluk Sr. and Marie Pavluk; Brother, William Pavluk; Uncle, Michael Doyle.
His hobbies and past time included fishing, kayaking, and golfing. He was a lifetime member of the VFW.
Hank was a 1980 graduate of Ocean City Highschool. He loved all sports, especially basketball. He rarely missed a day of playing pick-up basketball in Ocean City. After high school he joined the U.S. Navy of which he proudly served in the Sea Bees and as a Seaman for 21 years. He was most proud of having been stationed on a destroyer while in the Navy. Hank had the opportunity to see the world through the Navy. His Naval career took him to Japan, the Philippines, Puerta Rica, various ports in France, Spain, Majorca, Greece, Turkey, and throughout the middle east. He proudly served in operations Noble Eagle; Enduring Freedom; and Iraqi Freedom.
Hank's biggest source of pride was his family. He loved his sons, daughter-in-law, Aunt & Uncle, and cousins tremendously. To Hank, teaching his sons to fish 'Hank-style' was one of the greatest joys he had. Second to his family, was his passion for fishing on his kayak and his travels within the U. S. Hank was proud to have hiked a portion of the Appalachian Trail along with hiking and kayaking throughout Yellowstone, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Massachusetts.
Hank thrived on making others happy. His generosity of time and help for others shined throughout his life. As he continually gave his time and possessions to others in need, his only request was that they do the same for someone else when they have an opportunity to help. This kindness is what drew so many people to Hank as he continually made friends everywhere he traveled and lived.
