Glenn Taylor Obituary

Glenn Taylor, 67, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025. Glenn was born in San Antonio, Texas, on December 7, 1957 to parents Truett and Vera Frances Taylor. Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife of 41years, Joyce Parker Taylor; daughters, Rebecca (Kevin) Todd and Heather (David Benton) Taylor; grandchildren, Haley Grace Todd, Aubree Todd, and Elijah Benton; and sister Debbie (Rick) Rice. He is predeceased by his parents, Truett Jones Taylor and Vera Frances Watts Taylor. Glenn was a family man, who cherished spending as much time with them as he could, especially his grandchildren. Glenn loved listening to his favorite musician James Taylor. He even convinced his daughters when they were younger that James was his brother. He enjoyed being a master of the BB-Q, having cookouts and family gatherings. He loved hunting, fishing, and shooting. You could see him most Saturdays at 701 Gun Store. When not spending time outdoors, he would be working the craft of woodworking and carpentry. Glenn also loved to read. Any book appealed to him, but he especially enjoyed christian books and the Bible. Mr. Taylor was a member of Tilly Swamp Baptist Church. There he was a part of the church choir as well as starting the Faith Program at Tilly Swamp. Glenn was a Civil Engineer for 32 years with the Horry County Engineering Department. A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm, on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Tilly Swamp Baptist Church. The family will be receiving friends and guests an hour before the service from 11:00am- 12:00pm. Burial will follow the service at Livingston Cemetery. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway, is in charge of the arrangements.
