Eric Curtis Obituary
Conway, SC
Eric Curtis, age 40, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025 at his home.
Eric was born in Schenectady, NY a son of Michael and Kathleen Curtis. He loved the beach, landscaping, concerts, and spending time with his family. Eric had an adventurous personality; always eager and willing to take on any task. He was determined, spontaneous, and fiercely loyal. Eric was also very generous and would give his heart and soul to his family and friends.
He had an entrepreneurial spirit and established Serenity Point in Conway where he was involved in every aspect of the organization. Because of his past struggles and experiences, he had a drive to give back to the recovery community. He truly loved and served all those he crossed paths with at Serenity Point. Eric will be most remembered as a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Survivors include his wife, Brittany Curtis of Conway, SC; one son, Ryze Curtis of Conway, SC; his parents, Michael and Kathleen Curtis of Conway, SC; one sister, Jacqueline Duclos (Kyle) of Somersworth, NH; one brother, Kevin Curtis (Katie) of Burnt Hills, NY; one niece and goddaughter, Kenzie Curtis of Burnt Hills, NY; two nephews, Keegan Curtis and Kilian Curtis both of Burnt Hills, NY; his mother-in-law, Denise of Conway, SC; and many special aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 4, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Lower Commons Area of First United Methodist Church of Conway.
A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at the First United Methodist Church of Conway in The Hut with Rev. Emily Kirby officiating.
A celebration of Eric's life is being planned for sometime in the summer of 2026 near his hometown of Rotterdam, New York. The details of which will be released at the appropriate time.
"If there ever comes a day where we can't be together, keep me in your heart. I'll stay there forever."
