Edward Huempfner Obituary

Edward Huempfner, age 80, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025 at his residence. Born in Ridgewood, NY, he was a son of the late Oscar and Lucy Huempfner. Mr. Huempfner was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He graduated from NYU with a degree in Bachelors of Industrial Engineering. He worked for the Core of Engineers in Washington, DC and after moving to Pawleys Island he worked for 9 years with the Georgetown County Public Works. Mr. Huempfner enjoyed traveling with his wife during their military career and he also enjoyed gardening and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Jody Huempfner of Pawleys Island; four sons, Brian (Alice) Huempfner, James "Jimmy" (Elaina) Huempfner, John (Norma) Huempfner and David (Sarah Catherine) Huempfner; nine grandchildren, Bryce, Kristin, Paxton, Hudson, Michael, Joseph, Jack, Sullivan and Ben. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church.
