Ed Hyde Obituary

Mr. Ed Hyde, age 57, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Born February 22, 1968 in Middletown, NY, he was the son of Linda Rhein Reed and the late Paul Hyde, Jr. Ed was a happy person who loved music, dancing, having fun, parties, cocktails, and watching his favorite TV show, Cops. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed joking. Ed was outgoing and had a smile that lit up the room. He worked for many years at Walmart. He was very hardworking and loved his job. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, son, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed. Along with his father, Ed was predeceased by his beloved cat, Garfield. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his husband, Angel Hyde; his daughter, Ashley Hyde Pina (Gabriel); two grandchildren, Cristian Pina and Amelia Pina; a sister, Linda Johnson (Keith); two brothers, Paul Hyde, III (Melissa) and Anthony Rhein (Yvette); five nephews, Joseph Anthony Rhein (Lauren), Anthony Rhein, Damian Rhein, Al Youngblood (Sarina), and Zachary Hyde; four nieces, Courtney Wilson (Ryan), Becky Krauss (Phil), Kristen Mazurowski, and Kaitlin Hyde; great nieces and nephews, Brielle and Eliana Wilson, Paige and Eddie Krauss, Ashlynn and Zachary Mazurowski, and Savannah Rhein (who was his Godchild); his fur babies, Minnie, Buddy, Panda, Snoopy, Jasper, Smoky, Jasmine, and Lucy; and many aunts, uncles, and extended family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 22, 2025 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM, at the funeral home.
