Donald DeLano Obituary

Donald Lawrence DeLano, of Murrells Inlet, SC, passed into eternity on Monday, July 28, 2028 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital. He was born on August 23, 1947 to the late Robert and Katherine DeLano in Glenn Falls, NY. Donald graduated from Fort Edward High School with the class of 1965. He served in Vietnam in the Army and was honorably discharged after achieving the rank of Sargent. Donald retired from Millstone Power Plant in Connecticut. He was a member of the Old Timers Club and volunteered at St. James High School. He was an excellent record keeper and loved statistics. Besides his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his husband, Carlo Canteruccio, sister, Joyce Tarantino, and brothers, John and Gary DeLano. He is survived by his sisters, Michelle Hughes, Anita Day; many nieces and nephews; several cousins; and his best friend, Susan Adams. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society. A private service will be held at a later date. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is serving the family.
