David Schaff Obituary

Dave was born on July 15, 1947, in Mott, ND and passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 78. He moved with his family to St. Paul when he was in fourth grade. Dave graduated from St. Paul Park High School and was drafted into the Army, where he served two years, with the last six months in Vietnam. Dave attended St. Paul TVI and earned his degree as a Design Draftsman. He worked for Tool Products/Intermet for 29 1/2 years. In 1975, he married Susan LaBrune and they spent many years traveling, with their favorite spots being Hawaii and Myrtle Beach. Dave enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, spending time at their lake cabin, and conversing with others. He was a hardworking, sensitive, and witty man with a strong work ethic. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Frederick and Apolonia Schaff, and his older brother Theodore. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Susan; sisters and brothers, Dorothy (Richard) Lencowski, Janice (Lester) Eslinger, James (Chawn) Schaff, Fred (Laura) Schaff, and Sister-in Law's Peggy Schaff, Barb Anderson, Diane Harding, Kathy LaBrune, Nancy (Larry) Deutsch, and Joyce LaBrune, and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed greatly. Celebration of Dave's Life will be held November 1, 2025, from 1-4pm at The Alliance at 1600 W. Russell St., Sioux Falls, SD. Cremation Services Direct (843-651-1194) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is assisting the family with the arrangements.
