Cynthia McSparran Obituary
Cynthia Dianne Reed-McSparran, 69, of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, peacefully passed away on August 24th, 2025, with her beloved partner, Gary Cico, whom she lovingly dubbed her "Papa Bear" faithfully by her side. He diligently watched over her and unselfishly attended to her every whim to the very end.
With heavy hearts, we experience both joy and sadness, yet we find comfort as we watch her slip away into her spiritual and eternal peacefulness, after a lengthy and strenuous battle with her health.
During her younger and healthier days, she enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. Cyndi cherished her role as a grandmother. She would often play with the same zest and joy as her beloved grandbabies; Sierra Whidden, Kody Hamilton; Tyler Whidden, and Crew Hamilton.
Cynthia was the most compassionate and benevolent mother to her two children: Rachael Dianne Whidden (Juanita Hyde) and Kenneth Reuben Hamilton (Courtney Hamilton). She graced us with her warmhearted nature, traditions that will be carried on through us, as well as her innate ability to love and be loved, unconditionally.
Cynthia was survived by her brother; Kenneth Reed and her two sisters Bonnie and Karen Reed. As she enters this peaceful new world, she will be given the gift of being reunited with her Lord and Savior, and her elder sister, Linda Currell as well as her mother and father, Shirley and Kenneth Reed. She shall also sing with grace as she so often did with her cherished 4-legged companion, Sassafras.
Cyndi will be remembered for her generous nature and her deep love of family. Though she will be sorely missed, her memory lives on in the lives she touched and the joy she brought to all those around her. We love you and we will see you again. Until then, we hold onto the hope of a joyful and meaningful embrace.
As we grieve the loss of our beloved, a private service will be held at a later date.
Until we meet again.
…
A special thanks to Irene Lane, her longtime friend and live-in caregiver, and Mona that helped take such wonderful care of her in her final days.
