Claudette Valver Pelkington Obituary

Aynor. Claudette Mildred Pelkington, nee Valver, age 85, entered eternal peace on October 25, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Josephine Barocco and Herbert Valver. Mrs. Pelkington is survived by her daughter, Cathleen Harden nee:Pelkington (Gregory) of Aynor, SC; two sisters, Theresa Marcinkiewicz of Elmont, NY and Joanne Sinco of Naples, FL; and one brother, Joseph Valver of PA. Her two beloved sons, Richard and Robert Pelkington predeceased her as well as her husband Peter. Claudette wore many hats throughout her life. She worked as the executive switchboard operator for the Goody Hair Company and as a secretary for Continental Insurance Company in New York City. She also lived and worked in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where she was a jewelry cashier in various department stores. She was a deeply religious person and attended St. Pancras Catholic Church in Glendale Queens, NY when she was in better health. Claudette loved to make people laugh and she was good at it. She always had a joke and a smile to brighten up your day. Claudette was also known for her creative artwork, which she loved sharing with family and friends, with whom she cherished spending time.
