Clarence Doyle Obituary

Myrtle Beach, SC… Clarence E. Doyle, Jr., age 86, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025. Mr. Doyle was born in Aynor, a son of the late Clarence E. Doyle, Sr. and the late Evelyn Perritt Doyle. He was a Mason, Shriner and the former Potentate for the Omar Shrine Temple in 1990. Mr. Doyle loved Gamecock football, cooking, adventures with his daughter and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed shag dancing with his wife. Mr. Doyle was a hard working man with an entrepreneurial spirit. He was the former owner and operator of Country Kitchen and Arnie's in Myrtle Beach as well as Carolina Yacht Landing in Little River. He also owned Doyle's Bingo Hall on Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach in his early years. Along with his family, he was instrumental in developing businesses and hotels throughout the Myrtle Beach area. He was a good man with a great sense of humor, always eager to help anyone in any way he could. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by one brother, Walter Doyle, Sr. (Connie) and one sister, Pauline Osborne (Ed). Survivors include his wife, Rita Doyle of Myrtle Beach, SC; one daughter, Jayna Doyle (Blake Arambula) of Austin, TX; one sister-in-law, Patty Huff (Gary) of Greenville, SC; two nephews, Walter "Wally" Doyle, Jr. (Dana) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Geremy Huff (Tonya) of Greenville, SC; two nieces, Kerry Brode (Brodie) and Wendy Smith (John Wendell) all of Myrtle Beach, SC; and his caregivers whom he thought of as daughters, Dinah Flores and Valerie Nash. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Ken Herrington officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
