Charles Fuller Obituary

Charles Theodore Fuller Jr., age 80, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025, at the Lakes of Litchfield. Born on November 15, 1944, in Ashland, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Charles and Hazel Waddell Fuller. Charles was raised in Ravenswood, West Virginia, and graduated from Ravenswood High School before earning his bachelor's degree from the West Virginia Institute of Technology. It was during his college years that he met the love of his life, Helen Christian. They were married on August 1, 1968. The couple made their first home in Dunbar, West Virginia before relocating to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. They retired to Myrtle Beach in 2004 and enjoyed a quieter life near the coast. Charles proudly served 26yrs in the Army Reserves, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. He also worked for 25 years as a Purchasing Agent with Union Carbide. He enjoyed watching sports, particularly college athletics-cheering for his beloved West Virginia teams. Music was another lifelong passion, especially jazz, which filled his home with warmth and rhythm. Charles also had a soft spot for animals and shared his life with many cherished cats over the years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Helen Christian Fuller. He is survived by two sons, Phillip Fuller and his wife Jennifer, and their children Cadence and Tyler; Kirk Fuller and his wife Beth, and their children Brianna and Chloe; one daughter, Christal Fuller; one sister, Brenda Plunkett; sister-in-law, Susie Bartlett and her husband Nelson and their son Jacob. He is also survived by his lifelong friend, Larry Queen. A celebration of Charles's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Grand Strand Humane Society or the American Cancer Society. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is serving the family.
