Bradley Hafey Obituary

Brad Hafey, 66 of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away peacefully with his wife by his side at Grand Strand Medical Center on Sunday, June 15. He is now home with the Lord Jesus Christ. Brad was born in Columbus, Ohio to Paul and Bonnie (Haworth) Hafey. Brad is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patricia Maccariella-Hafey, his father, Paul Hafey, brothers Dean (Kelly) Hafey, Randy Hafey and Ron (Kathy) Hafey along with several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Bonnie Hafey. Brad graduated from Marion-Franklin High School in Columbus, Ohio and went on to technical college and became a Master Electrician. He worked at several jobs in Columbus before moving to South Carolina in 1998 and marrying Pat in 1999. Brad worked as a Master Electrician at several companies in Myrtle Beach including Conbraco Industries, AVX Corporation, Hard Rock Park, Ripley's Aquarium and the City of North Myrtle Beach. Brad had that one-of-a-kind personality as his many friends will attest to. He helped many people in his life through difficult life situations. He enjoyed running and ran several marathons, half marathons and 5Ks before his illness. He was a member of the Grand Strand Running Club. Brad was also a motorcycle enthusiast and built his own chopper in 2001. He also enjoyed fishing with his friends. Brad was a bass guitar player and loved music, attending many concerts. Brad and his wife enjoyed travel which included diving excursions and hiking trips across the country. In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation in Brad's name to the Grand Strand Humane Society for homeless animals or the charity of your choice. A Celebration of Life will be held at McMillan-Small Funeral Home Chapel, 910 67th Ave. N., Myrtle Beach, SC 29572 on Saturday June 28, 2025, at 2:00 pm. Come casual!
