Barbara Anderson Obituary

Conway…. Barbara Solomon Collins Anderson, age 81, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025. Mrs. Anderson was born in High Point, NC, a daughter of the late Dewey H. and Sally Ann Duggins Solomon. She was a member of White Savannah Freewill Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, she was employed by the Horry County School District. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, Talmadge Collins, Sr. and John Frank Anderson; brothers, Harold Solomon, Paul Solomon, Hermus Solomon, and Donald Solomon; a sister, Wanda Sisk; and a son in law, Jim Sheppard. Surviving are: two daughters, Tammy Adams (Quincy) of Salisbury, NC and Sandra Sheppard of Conway; three sons, Talmadge James Collins, Jr. (Kathy) of Lindenhurst, IL., Don Anderson (Jackie) of Aynor, SC and John Anderson of High Point, NC; six grandchildren, Catherine "Beth" Thacher (Shawn) and Christina Murray, all of Conway, Tyler Collins of Lindenhurst, IL, Jonathan Adams of Salisbury, NC, Nix Marshburn (Taylor) and Austin Marshburn (Amanda) all of Asheboro, NC; six great grandchildren, Kevin Thacher, Travis Thacher, Lily Murray, Jaxen Murray, Shawn Thacher, Jr. (Tara) and Corey Thacher, all of Conway; three great great grandchildren, Essik Marshburn, Sussyx Marshburn, and Shawn Thacher, III; sister in law, Sharon Solomon of Cummings, GA and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday from White Savannah Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Hyman and Rev. Buddy Seay officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
