Alvin Freedman Obituary

Alvin "Al" M. Freedman 91 passed away peacefully at his home on August 24, 2025. He leaves behind his wife Betty, children; daughter Michelle Jones (Steve), son Ivan Freedman (Stacey), Michael Stahler (Selena), and Murray Stahler. He also leaves behind his niece Elaine Freedman and nephew Stuart Freedman (Melissa) and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son David Freedman. Born July 2, 1934 in Washington DC. Al was proud to serve in the US Army during the Korean Occupation. All who knew him knew of his patriotism. He enjoyed photography, and as a licensed captain he enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake Bay. He was a member of the Myrtle Beach Corvette Club and could be seen driving "Betty's" yellow Corvette. Al's biggest pleasure recently was sitting on his porch smoking a cigar and sipping a Baileys. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations in Al's memory can be made to the Children's Tumor Foundation, mail code 6895, PO Box 7247, Philadelphia, PA 19170-0001.
