CONOVER -- B. Wayne Lemmon, age 77, of Conover, OH passed away on February 4, 2022 at 4:23 a.m. in Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney, OH.
Born on December 19, 1944 in Bellefontaine, OH, Wayne was a son of the late Carey E. and Nellie M. (Sidders) Lemmon.
He married Betty E. Imel on November 7, 1964 and she survives. Together they raised five children, two of whom survive: Wanda (Richard) Rozell of Troy, OH and Kenneth Lemmon of Botkins, OH. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Timothy (Shonda) Williams, Lorraine (Alex) Miller, and Amy Barger; and two sisters, Loretta Lemmon of Dayton, OH and Linda (Larry) Bragg of Kettering, OH.
In addition to his parents three children preceded him in death: Byron Lemmon, Jr., Douglas Lemmon, and Teresa Young.
Wayne was a 1964 graduate of Graham High School, St. Paris, OH. He retired from Copeland Corporation of Sidney, OH in 2002. Wayne enjoyed attending races at Shady Bowl in DeGraff and demolition derbies.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint Paris, OH. Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Andy Leighty of the Rosewood United Methodist Church presidng. A celebration of Wayne's life will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Rosewood Fire Dept, 10788 St. Rt. 29, Rosewood, OH 43070.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Wayne's memory to Rosewood Fire and EMS Association, P.O. Box 18, Rosewood, OH 43070
