Robert "Bob" Arnold Helm

Robert "Bob" Arnold Helm of Lincoln, Neb. passed away on March 27, 2025 at the age of 84. He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 63 years, Gladys M. Helm (nee Rolfsmeyer); his loving sons, Scott (Lesley) Helm and Douglas Helm; and his three grandchildren, John, Addison, and Maria. He is also survived by his three sisters, Carol Luther, Coral Eberspacher, and Carolyn Semin; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Arnold and Gladys Helm, of Milford, Neb.; and his sister, Coralee Hauder.

Bob was a long-time Certified Public Accountant and Partner with Dana F. Cole & Company in Lincoln, where he cared deeply about his clients. He was President of the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants in 1986 and received their Distinguished Service to the Profession Award in 1991. He received a number of other awards including from the University of Nebraska College of Business from which he graduated in 1965. He was an active member of Southgate United Methodist Church and other charitable and service organizations. A proud and lifelong Nebraskan, Bob was also a devoted sports fan, regularly seen at Nebraska football, basketball, and volleyball games.

Visitation for Bob will be Friday, April 4, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th St., Lincoln, Neb. 68512.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Southgate United Methodist Church, 3500 Pioneers Boulevard, Lincoln, Neb. 68506 at 10 a.m. Burial will take place at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, 6800 S. 14th Street thereafter.
