Raymond Benton Obituary

Raymond Larry Benton Sr 80 of Ladson passed away peacefully at home on August 25, 2025, after a long illness. Born on March 21, 1945, in Charleston, he was the son of Authur and Noami Benton. Raymond is predeceased by his brothers Woody and Bobby and by his son Ray. Survivors include three siblings Arthur, James (Andy) and Pauline Jackson. Three children Cassandra Regnier (Steve), Debbie and Thomas. Two stepchildren Bobby Bower (Jess) and Brenna McCarter Malcolm) Raymond married Tammy Jeffery on June 5, 2005, till present. Raymond worked at West Ashley Toyota where he met Tammy, where she became his boss. He then worked for Stokes Honda for several years before he retired. Raymonds favorite pastimes were Nascar Racing, football and playing cards. His greatest blessings in life were his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Within his blended family are 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren with 1 more on the way. There will be a small celebration of life at a later date.
