Randall Winge Obituary

Randall "Randy" Day Winge, 64, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina passed away peacefully at home on June 21, 2025. Randy was born on October 18, 1960 in Charleston, South Carolina. He was the son of Paul Ray and Myrna Day Winge. He grew up surround by family and laughter, graduating from Bonds-Wilson High School before beginning a career at local dealership, where he was known for his easy going personality and charm. Randy lived life with a big, open heart and a powerful spirit. He especially loved working out and was passionate about weightlifting and power lifting. One of his greatest joys was spending time in the gym with his grandson, Randall, whom he loved very much. The two were best buds and were training together with dreams of entering a power lifting contest as a team. These moments brought him pride, connection and endless joy. Randy also found peace and happiness outdoors. He loved deer hunting and spent many relaxing days fishing with his kids off the pier, savoring the quite moments and the beauty of nature. Later in life, he opened his home and heart to rescue ferrets, particularly those who were blind, deaf, or uncontrollable, the ones who needed someone's gentle patience. Randy never hesitated to offer his strength and kindness to those human or animal that needed it the most. Randy's later years were marked by heartbreak with the loss of his beloved son David, a brilliant tattoo artist whose creativity and unique spirit touched many lives. Randy was left devastated and broken hearted. Despite this immense loss, Randy continued to show love and compassion to those around him, carrying David's memory in his heart every day. Randy's life, though not without its ups and down was rich and full of meaning. His big heart, deep compassion and gentle strength touched everyone who knew him. His kindness and wisdom lives on in the family and friends who loved him, and in all the lives he made little better just by being himself. Though our hearts are heavy, we are deeply grateful for the time we shared with Randy. We know that loved his heavenly father and is rejoicing in heaven with the saints. We will carry his memory, his strength, and his spirited love always. He is survived by his children, Randall Day Winge Jr., Amanda Faye Floyd, Amy Lorraine Winge, Taylor Winge, Tiegue Winge, McLaurin Elizabeth Winge, his grandchildren, Kyleigh Raine Archer, Christopher Michael Archer, Randall Day Winge III and his siblings. Paul Ray Winge Jr., Donna Winge Durand, Christopher Andrew Winge. He was preceded in death by Paul Ray Winge Sr. and David Franklin Winge. The memorial service will be held at Simplicity, 281 Treeland Drive, Ladson South Carolina, July 17, 2025 at 2:00pm for visitation and 3:00pm for service.
