He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Gertrude C. Washington; children: Michael Lawrence, Paula Washington and Paul Washington, Jr.; grandchildren: Michael Lawrence, II and Noah Washington; siblings: Patricia Washington, Vernessa Mitchell, Karen Washington, Deborah Spann (Jeff), Roger Mitchell (Damara) and Edward Mitchell (Juliette); aunts: Elnora Broughton and Rev. Lavina Jefferson; uncles: Eugene Washington (Tammy), Henry Washington (Virginia) and Aaron Washington (Ida); sister-in-law, Shelia Bailem (Joseph); brothers-in-law, Leo Sanders, Jr. ( Selina) and Odell Sanders. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Josephine Mitchell; his mother-in-law, Marie Sanders; and his father-in-law, Leo Sanders.
Mr. Washington was a Law Enforcement Officer with the College of Charleston.
