Mildred LeNoir Obituary

Mildred Elizabeth " Patti " Ballard LeNoir, 82, of North Charleston, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2023, at Roper Hospital in downtown Charleston, SC. Born in Welch, WV, daughter of Arthur Ballard and Miriam Brewster Ballard, Patti was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend to many. She grew up in Roanoke, VA, where she met her husband of 57 years, Joe. After graduating from the Roanoke Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, she spent 40 years of service in the medical profession as a registered nurse, most of which with the Roper-St Francis hospitals in Charleston, SC. She cherished her family and all of her friends in the low country of South Carolina and scattered throughout the U.S. Those who knew her are well aware of her passion for college sports, specifically her love of Duke basketball. For years she shared and received birthday and Christmas cards with Coach Krzyzewski. Survivors are two sons: Joe P. LeNoir Jr. (Carla) of Raleigh, NC, and David L. LeNoir of Irmo, SC; four grandchildren: Lauren LeNoir, Joe LeNoir, III (Mckenzie), Price LeNoir and Peyton LeNoir. She was predeceased by her husband, Joe P. LeNoir and son, Bryan T. LeNoir. A memorial gathering at the James A. Dyal Funeral Home will be planned and announced in the coming weeks in remembrance of Patti and her husband Joe, who passed in 2019.
