Mildred LeNoir Obituary

Mildred Elizabeth " Patti " Ballard LeNoir, 82, of North Charleston, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2023, at Roper Hospital in downtown Charleston, SC. Born in Welch, WV, daughter of Arthur Ballard and Miriam Brewster Ballard, Patti was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend to many. She grew up in Roanoke, VA, where she met her husband of 57 years, Joe. After graduating from the Roanoke Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, she spent 40 years of service in the medical profession as a registered nurse, most of which with the Roper-St Francis hospitals in Charleston, SC. She cherished her family and all of her friends in the low country of South Carolina and scattered throughout the U.S. Those who knew her are well aware of her passion for college sports, specifically her love of Duke basketball. For years she shared and received birthday and Christmas cards with Coach Krzyzewski. Survivors are two sons: Joe P. LeNoir Jr. (Carla) of Raleigh, NC, and David L. LeNoir of Irmo, SC; four grandchildren: Lauren LeNoir, Joe LeNoir, III (Mckenzie), Price LeNoir and Peyton LeNoir. She was predeceased by her husband, Joe P. LeNoir and son, Bryan T. LeNoir. A memorial gathering at the James A. Dyal Funeral Home will be planned and announced in the coming weeks in remembrance of Patti and her husband Joe, who passed in 2019. Burial services will be private. A memorial message may be written to the family by visiting our website at www.jamesadyal.com.

A very special thank you from the family is extended to Dr. Nicholas Noblet, Dr. George Keogh, Dr. Jorge Lagares-Garcia, the outstanding staff of 6 South at Roper Hospital, Dr. Bradley Kalinsky, Lauri Infinger and the great staff at DaVita Dialysis in Goose Creek, SC, the wonderful administration and staff at Life Care Center of Charleston, and Roper Hospice. The family asks in lieu of flowers to make a donation on behalf of the LeNoir Family to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are with the James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 South Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483, (843) 873-4040.

My condolences to the family.I worked with Patti at the old St.Francis Hospital in the late 70s and 80s. She was a wonderful nurse and co-worker. So kind and funny. I have great memories of her. So sorry for the loss of your mother and grandmother.
