Mary Blackburn Obituary

Mary Ann Blackburn, 88, of Summerville, SC entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 27th 2025 surrounded by her loving family and caregivers.

Mary was born June 9th 1936 in Allendale, SC. She was one of seven children of William Harold Hall, Sr., and Mary Mandy Walker Hall. She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, William B. Blackburn Jr.; a sister, Hazel Shuler; four children: Roy E Driggers III (Leslie), Sandra D. Fleming (John), Deborah E Winkle (Wayne), and William B. Blackburn III (Joyce); 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mary, affectionally known by her family as "Hon", enjoyed spending time with family and loved cooking her special dishes for holidays and special gatherings. She took pride in her home and her well known, extensive, glassware collection. Mary enjoyed being a part of the bluegrass community and loved traveling to festivals to listen to her husband play the banjo. She will be remembered for her love of family and witty personality.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to her devoted caregiver whom has become family, Bernice Henderson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
