Lois Jones Obituary

Lois Marie Jones passed from this life August 4, 2022, she was 87 years old, when Dementia took her into eternal life to be with her devoted husband of 68 years, Lloyd (L.C) Jones. We are comforted knowing they are together again for eternity. Together they have 7 Children. Kathryn Pappas (husband Ted) Linda Hall (husband Chuck) David Jones (wife Robin) Carole Hiebel (husband Greg) Barbara Meyerhoff (husband Bill) Thomas Jones (girlfriend Tina Kincaid) and Nancy Grooms (husband Troy) They have 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren (and one on the way). Lois is survived by two sisters Barbara Arko and Dorothy Kobilynski.

Lois had 5 of her 7 children by the time she was 25 years old, all 5 under the age of 5 at the time, took a short break before her next two. She was a lovely, devoted stay at home mom and loved making holidays and birthdays special events and created wonderful family traditions which we passed on to our children. In the little spare time she had she enjoyed bowling on local leagues and being treasurer, mom also was a seamstress and made beautiful dresses for her grandchildren.

Lois passed peacefully at the Oaks at Salem Road in Beaufort SC, where she was adored and loved by the staff that took impeccable care of her.

We would like to thank Hospice of Charleston who began this end-of-life journey with mom and also Agape Hospice for making her transition into eternal life comfortable for her. We will be forever grateful to have had these wonderful organizations guide us along this journey.

Joint burial with military honors will be at Beaufort National Cemetery along with a Memorial Service at the Oaks at Salem Road later this month.
