Dr. Simmons,
Thank you for teaching me at Life University. I´ve come to realize there were so many connections between us that I didn´t fully understand at the time-your ties to Charleston and the Porter family, who are my relatives, which in turn makes you my relative as well. I only came to understand later how deeply our paths were connected, and that realization means even more to me now. That brings both sadness and a sense of joy.
Watching the way you carried yourself in the classroom-your command of knowledge and the ease with which you shared your brilliance-was truly remarkable. You set a standard of excellence that left a lasting impression on me and so many others.
Thank you for showing up with such consistency, integrity, and excellence. You will be deeply missed.

My heart is heavy and it wouldn't allow me Not to share my experience and interactions with Dr. Simmons:
I didn' know Dr. Simmons personally, outside of saying hello and how are you today at work.
The following is the impact that her kindness had on me, and I believe all of us here at LIFE University.
Dr. Simmons spoke softly...
Dr. Simmons kindness echoed loudly with our LIFE students, faculty
and staff...
Dr. Simmons gentle strength proved that true impact comes from compassion, not volume..
I pray that we will honor her memory by living with the same quiet courage, kindness, and grace-
making each day a chance to inspire, just as she did...
Rest In Peace Dr. Lauren Jennette Simmons you will always be remembered NEVER FORGOTTEN...

I met Lauren when we both worked at Life U. She walked into the testing center in a Hocus Pocus shirt and I knew instantly I needed to be friends with her. Every year since we had a Halloween countdown as we both loved Spooky season. I will miss that bond with her. We also both fiercely loved our soul dogs. She was a special person and I will miss her terribly. Rest well, my friend. I´ll see you on the other side. Love you. My sincerest condolences to her family.

I am so very sorry for your loss.
I had the privilege of working with Dr. Simmons. She was bright and enthusiastic with so much in front of her.
