Keith Simmons Obituary

Keith Stafford Simmons passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, in Charlotte, NC. He was 55 years old. Keith was born on May 23, 1970, at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. He was the youngest of three children born to the late Earl Simmons Sr. and the late Windell La'Nell Simmons of Summerville, SC. Keith was educated in the public school systems of Brooklyn, NY, and Summerville, SC. After graduating from Summerville High School, he attended Columbia Junior College and later Claflin University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Business and went on to complete his master's. It was at Claflin that he met his wife, Alfreda Fuller-Simmons. Throughout his life, Keith formed many lasting friendships-connections that have endured to this day. Known affectionately as "Nell's Son" by his closest friends, Keith was proud to be a "mama's boy" through and through. Keith always found a way to smile and had a gift for making others smile as well. His energy was contagious, and he brought laughter and light wherever he went. His love for family and friends was constant and undeniable. He was a member of Omega Pi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Pi Phi Chapter, where his fraternity name was Sidewinder. Keith was also a proud member of the Prince Hall Masons, Silver Set Lodge, FAM, DHA. Keith was employed by Charter/Spectrum Communications, where he worked as an Account Sales Representative. He was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Alfreda Fuller- Simmons. He is survived by his beloved son, Nigel A. Simmons; siblings Andrea L. Simmons, Valarie Pierre (Jeffery), and Earl Simmons Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
