Ms. Juanita Shirley Sheppard, 75, of North Charleston, SC, entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 15, 2025. The Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, 11:00 A.M. at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 180 Romney Street - Charleston, SC. The Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens - 2915 Ashley Phosphate Road - N. Charleston, SC. She is survived by her son: Cary Sheppard; grandchildren: Jaleaya Jenkins, Joshua Sheppard, Kaitlyn Sheppard, and Torry Weary, Jr.; great-grandchildren: Messiah Jenkins, Elijah Brown, Javeah Brown and Torry Weary, III; siblings: Roxanne Hudson, Verylee Meek, Catherine Miller, Victoria Wright, Joanne Ganaway, Theresa Jones (Ponce), Magdalene Maclin, Leonard Meek and Tommy Meek (Sheila); brother-in-law: Ervin Singleton; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Isiah Sheppard and Zora Sheppard, Dorothy Meek; and siblings: Anthony J. Meek, Darryl Meek, Alonzo Meek, John Sheppard, Daniel Sheppard, Samuel Sheppard, Jessie Maultsby, Flora Montgomery, Eula Mae Anderson, and Virginia Singleton.

She is a former school teacher and a retiree of Cummins Engine Company. She was also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
