John LaCava Obituary

In loving memory of "Papa John" John LaCava, 62 of Summerville, South Carolina passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025.John was born in Farmingdale, New York on March 1, 1963. Son to Frank and JacquelineLaCava (deceased). John served in the United States Navy from 1980-1984. John had onebrother, Frank LaCava (deceased), and three sisters, Helen Santoiemma, Anne Marie Topper,and Francine Blackford. While in the Navy, he married Carolyn Conyers, wife of 34 years, and settled in Charleston,South Carolina. He is survived by his three beloved children, Gregory (Sherry) Larsen, Amber(Bryan) Harrison, and Caroline (Thomas) Sullivan. He is also survived by 10 sweetgrandchildren Analeia, Angelina, Makayla, Jasmine, Jenna, Niveah, Maddox, LeeAnna, Asher,Savannah, and his great grandson, Josiah. Tina Conyers (sister in law) was a wonderful caregiver to John in his final years. John fulfilled his dreams playing bass guitar in several rock bands throughout the years. He had a passion for music, classic cars, and his family. His memory will ROCK ON in our hearts! A celebration of life will be held for close family and friends in the near future
