Jeremiah Kulas Obituary

Jeremiah M. Kulas, 42, passed away 1 August 2025. "Jer" was born May 4th, 1983 to Karin and John Kulas at the Naval Hospital in North Charleston. Educated in local schools, he was a 2001 graduate of Stratford High School in Goose Creek, and went on to get his ASC certification at Trident Technical College. As a youngster, he was in Boy Scouts where he earned his "Arrow of light" award. He was in Little League and played for three years culminating in his Selection for the Crowfield All Stars. Outgoing and vivacious, he quickly became the guy that was a friend to those in need and one who could be depended upon. Tenacious and curious by nature, his passion for cars manifested itself by buying his first Mustang when still in high school. Possessing a strong internal drive, it came as no surprise that he rapidly became a knowledgeable and proficient Automobile Technician for a number of local businesses. Prior to COVID, he had opened and ran his own Auto Repair Shop where he garnered a reputation for quick and accurate repair services. It came as no surprise to those he knew that he had a very strong interest in Car racing and anything that went fast. He loved the outdoors and traveling in general. In his youth he enjoyed the summer family trips to the Smoky Mountains. From the coasts of Maine to Florida, the Grand Canyon, Seattle Washington, Canada, and Hawaii, he enjoyed the travel itself and the sites that were offered. Recently, he turned to an interest in anything equestrian. Buying 2 horses, a trailer, saddles and associated tack, he and his Kenndy would often go riding with associates in what he called "saddle therapy". Always ready for fun and adventure, he personified the motto, "We are here for a good time, not a long time". This motto led him to be identified as the source of every gray hair on his Mother's head! He is survived by his parents Karin and John Kulas of Summerville, his brother John and his wife Megan of Aurora, Colorado, his brother Dustin and his spouse Bree of Ladson, SC. Additionally, he will be missed by his Aunt Debbie and Uncle Terry of Hoosick Falls, NY, Aunt Karen and Uncle Jeff of Freehold NY, Aunt Doris of Albany, NY, Aunt Julie and Uncle Jay Manoogian of Hunting Beach CA, and was pre-deceased by Uncle Brian Manoogian of North Adams, MA. There are so many more Aunts, Uncles and dear cousins, too many to list here who had a welcome impact on his life. Finally, Jer was the very proud Dad of two daughters, Joselain Raine and Kennedy Grace. He was also that special Uncle to his niece Annaleigh and nephew Remington. Per his wishes, there will be no services other than a celebration of life. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, August 7, 2025 11am at Simplicity Lowcountry, Ladson Chapel. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.

Yesterday

This man was always there when I needed him. Even 20 years later when I hadn’t heard from him, he was there for me. We talked liked there never was a break in time. My teenage years were filled with adventures and wild rides. I’m going to miss you, my friend. Love to all the family.
