Don Enger
September 26, 2025
My mother, Merle Howard Enger used to talk about Helen a lot. They grew up together at Robertson. My grandparents, Ollie and Edith Howard were best friends with J.B. and Roxie Chapman. I remember when Roxie was killed in a car wreck in front of the Lorenzo Cemetery where she was buried two days later. My mother was 13 years older than Helen but they went to the same school at Robertson. My grand parents Ollie and Edith lived one mile north of the school. My name is Don Enger. I´m 81 and I live at Shallowater. I hate that we lost touch with the Chapman´s many years ago. I remember that Helen and Donald were twins. My uncle and aunt Arch and Julie Henson also lived at Robertson. I´m sure no one left in the family remembers me. My older sister is Beth Enger Essary from Abernathy. I´m also friends with Loren and Catherine Deering and their children Charolette and Eugene who ran the grocery store at Savage. I would love to hear from someone. My contact info is 806-438-7712. Email [email protected]. 5315 FM 1294 Lubbock, Tx 79415.
